Breaking every previous record Lionel Messi once again won the FIFA Ballon d'OR for the fourth time in a row. For this glory he stood ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo and Andres Iniesta.
He scored 91 goals in 2012 which was the record by any player in a year however he failed to gave his team the title of La Liga and Champions League as well.But as far as individual performance is considered Messi was way above any other players in the planet.With this award Messi proved himself as the best player of the world for the fourth time since 2009.
With 41.6% votes Messi won the award and with 23.6% vote Ronaldo was the runner-up and with 10.9% votes Iniesta was the second runner-up for the award.
Messi expressed - "To tell the truth this is really unbelievable and the fourth award i have had is too great for words."
Even his competitor Cristiano said if he would have got chance to vote he certainly would have voted for Messi. With this Ballon d'OR Messi has become the first ever player on the planet to have this honor.Apart from this he was also included in the FifPro world XI team.
